Thanks for stopping by!
I am a student of Jesus, travel enthusiast, and cooking experiment-er.
Life has been a series of moving, change, routine, and diversity- Canadian by birth and childhood, and American from adolescence on. My writing is colored by life experienced through teaching school, travel, working with teen girls and young women, business, living solo, and living within a close-knit team setting.
Lemony Snicket says that, “Fate is like a strange, unpopular restaurant filled with odd little waiters who bring you things you never asked for and don’t always like.” I’m not a huge believer in the idea of “fate,” however life often has a way of bringing unexpected circumstances that affect who we are in unexpected ways.
That’s why I write. Not necessarily to “figure out the unexpected,” but more to remind myself that life is rarely ever about me and my agenda. I’m learning that the unexpected life is the good life, whether that means traveling the world or daily living right here, right now as I currently reside in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Hey! My name is Chloe. I came across your blog by reading the post that you wrote on the Rebelution. I rarely comment on blogs, but your life has been so similar to mine in a lot of ways that I just had to write something to you. I moved every 3 years of my life, and between ages 6-12 years old I lived in Lancaster County PA. I love PA, it’s beautiful! Do you attend a Mennonite church?
